Are you aware :: the ebb and flow of emotions are natural + healthy to confront?

Let’s get vulnerable. Well, I’ll go first…

Have you been nudged out the door, contract not renewed, experienced a layoff or (forced) early retirement … or made the decision to leave but now rethinking? 

The spiral of emotions from worry + anxiety to confidence deflation … and, let’s be honest :: shame.

Shame enforces this idea that we are not good enough.

For women, in our minds when shame is active - our mindsets are overwhelmed with conflicting expectations of who we’re supposed to be by someone else’s lens of us.

For men, shame equates to not wanting to be seen as weak.

Getting vulnerable about our emotions with ourselves, with others is powerful - it proves courage and strength; and if we continue to show up in this manner, our brain will rewire and become stronger from the emotions we experience. 

The Latin meaning of emotion = energy that moves us.  

Think about that for a second, and absorb how we have control over emotions to fuel ourselves in overcoming a seemingly heavy situation and experience light.
