As a person who often struggles with openly voicing my thoughts, feelings, and concerns one on one with others, I found a safe space with Lori that was formed early on. She has a true gift for making you feel heard, comfortable, and empowered all at the same time.

I had the fortunate pleasure of having Lori as a leader and mentor for four years. Lori made an incredible impact on me both on a personal and professional level at a very turbulent time in my life. I attribute a large part of the success that I’ve experienced in the past decade to the time that I spent with Lori.
I believe that a great bit of the way that I interact with employees that I manage on a day-to-day basis and put relationship building at the forefront comes from my experience with Lori. I’m not sure that I’ve ever met someone who championed other people with such sincerity and vigor. Lori coached me with compassion and a supreme amount of understanding even in upsetting conditions. Every conversation that we had was anchored in care. I’ve not ever worked with someone who so genuinely wanted her clients, peers and subordinates to succeed.
There have been several points along my professional growth through the past decade that I think back with great fondness about the four years that Lori was my mentor. While I think that much of who I am as a leader was shaped by my time with Lori, I often wish that I would have had more time to learn from her and would have made better use of the opportunity that I had. I believe that perhaps the greatest testament to her coaching ability is that the impact that she made on my life reached well past the time that I worked with Lori.

Lori has been extremely pivotal to my career in more ways than I am sure she will ever know. Years ago, she saw potential in my skills that I had not yet fully realized in myself. I had a hard time envisioning what path in digital marketing I wanted to pursue because the field was so large. She gave me the proper guidance where others would fail because she took time to get to know my interests but more importantly, she truly got a chance to know and appreciate my previous work.
I believe what makes Lori's work more unique than her contemporaries is that she tactfully blends compassion with performance in her coaching. I've had the pleasure of watching her balance various workflows while mentoring diverse and innovative minds, who have also become wonderful leaders themselves. She fosters great leadership because her strong presence demands the attention of trailblazers, and her vision is perfected through her malleability.
An important lesson I have learned in my profession through my time with Lori is that as hard as you work in your career, you should work the same for yourself and others. As much dedication she has shown toward her reputable career, she has shown that in her humanitarian efforts and health, as well. The importance of caring for others in business is often glossed over, but what I have found throughout adopting practices that Lori has displayed is that how kind you are in your personal life is how you will conduct yourself in every endeavor you pursue. Be kind to yourself, give opportunities to others who need assistance, and always find new ways to create a path towards your goals -- I learned that through Lori's leadership; not by what she TOLD me, but by how she SHOWED and MOTIVATED me. She lives what she speaks.

Working closely with Lori for nearly 4 years has been one of the best alignments of my life thus far. When Lori and I met, I had just had my second baby and I was desperately trying to escape a toxic work environment. The moment we met, I knew her energy and spirit were exactly what I needed at this time in my life.
With Lori’s support, I jumped into a pivotal career transition. I recall early on making a pretty big mistake in the new role. From past experiences, I had expected the worst. Lori helped me shift my brain from focusing on the problem (and the past) to solutions and a path forward. I remember thinking “Lori will know how to fix this” but what Lori really knew is that I had the power and the knowledge to fix things myself, and she helped me see that.
I think of this often as I’m now in a leadership role (and of course a mom) and get to guide others through challenges they face. It’s been a massive shift on how I go about my day to day and I have Lori to thank for getting me to this headspace.
