Are you aware :: we have the power to crush imposter syndrome?

Imposter syndrome is REAL; it is the disconnect from how we perceive ourselves and what reality actually is, essentially our mindset fooling us.

70% of all humans experience it at some point in their lives … and up to 50% of humans struggle with imposter syndrome weekly (yes, WEEKLY!!).

You may not think of it this way, but - burnout is one of the most common consequences of imposter syndrome.

…& burnout costs our economy $190 (B)illion a year - that’s thousands of dollars we’re losing EVERY second.

Nerd tip :: imposter syndrome increases our risk of health issues; think - sleep disturbances, digestive disorders, mental health - specifically anxiety and depression.

However, we have the capability to defeat it!

(1) Acknowledging we’re in that mindspace.

Recognizing imposter syndrome is the first step to overcoming it.

(2) Speak up to those you trust.

Sharing your feelings with trusted friends, mentors, or colleagues will provide reassurance and a different perspective.

(3) Root yourself in actual reality.

When we challenge our negative thoughts of self, fully evaluating evidence objectively - we’ll be able to recognize our accomplishments and skills.

Although a lifetime of science expressed we couldn’t, neuroscience studies of neuroplasticity prove we have the power to change our brains.

Let’s remove ourselves from our false perception and in the moment embrace a different thought that makes us feel energized and powerful; devote our energy to wins (big or small) to crush that little imposter that bubbles up in our brains!!
