Are you aware :: failure contributes to growth in our brains?
Failure, big or small :: from eating a little too much sugar one day to not showing up for those we really want.
How does that make you feel?
Have you ever felt like you weren’t enough?
Have you ever felt as hard as you tried, things still didn’t land how you desired?
Our brains literally learn more from us failing than being successful.
Similar to how muscle failure is so good for us, when we fail - that experience makes us stronger.
Nerd tip :: our brains close pathways when we fail so we won’t do so again in the same way.
We draw wisdom from our failures.
Falling down contributes to neuroplasticity - growth + rewiring of our brains.
We can do anything we set our minds to … and even when experiencing failure - allowing it to fuel us to keep going is the only option!
Failure is an asset of experience, so sharing and being transparent about our failures with those surrounding us :: our teams, families, friends is invaluable!
Remember, we are lifelong learners and will forever be accomplishing; no matter what point in life we are - wake up, get out of bed, make a step in the direction you desire … start small and absorb the lightness!
Let’s reframe our narrative on failure to something positive - let’s learn, let’s grow, let’s find (& potentially fail at) new paths.
…& just know, falling down is okay - but, we MUST summon the late great Aaliyah :: “if at first you don’t succeed, dust yourself off and try again”.
Together … let’s get up, dust ourselves off and try again … it’ll surely be worthwhile!!!
